About: Kelly Slater, 11-time World Surf League Champion, and acclaimed designer, John Moore founded Outerknown with the belief that we all have a responsibility to make and wear sustainable clothing that does not pollute the world around us, especially the ocean.
Their surf-inspired menswear range uses fabrics that include organic cotton, hemp, wool and a recycled nylon called Econyl made from recovered fishing nets. They ensure that at every step in the manufacturing process they have the environment in mind. Buttons made from recycled plastics to garment tags that are water-soluble to eliminate unnecessary waste.
